CHAOTIC CAIRO: Nearing the Edge of Egypt

Landing in Cairo late at night I was a little on edge, not due to the conflicts that had escalated in neighbouring countries, but because I was older. For a woman, I had balls in my twenties and thirties, and did a solo trip around Southeast Asia shortly before the world was shut down. Now at forty, I wanted to see if I could grow a pair again and brace myself for thirteen nights travelling by myself around Egypt.
